MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT SHEILA FOSTER Ted and I, like many other Canadians, had to return to Canada in a hurry. We arrived March 20 to a long lineup at immigration, the day they closed the border. We have been in self quarantine ever since, not out of our home since March 20! We hope this will help our neighborhood, our community, our Province and our country to beat the incessant climb of cases and fatalities. Many of us have been touched by this virus. My sister and husband in London, England currently have the virus but are recovering. It is a worrying time for us all, especially seniors. There has been much adverse and misleading media attention on China as the first known source of the virus. I hope we will all stay strong to resist any racist, cultural or ethnic smears. AT CCCFA we will continue to stay in touch and offer a program, virtually if necessary, to keep the friendship between Canada and China alive and well. The Consulate General in Calgary sends our regular information and messages. I attach the latest which is very informative about how China has tried to help the rest of the world.
